Well they say every journey begins with a singe step (or something like that anyway) and so it goes with the Moonwalk. By Friday I was far enough past the recovery stages of the New Year celebrations and holiday induced laziness that I thought it was really about time I went for walk.
Looking out of the window I put all of my clothes on… not quite as we will for the Moonwalk where pretty much the opposite is true. After 5 minutes I realised that my will was no longer bent to ensuring my legs held out for the hours marching through city streets in May, instead it was entirely focussed on having better weather than the sub Arctic conditions of a wet and windy January! Bleurghhh… seriously folks, please keep everything crossed we don’t get a freak Winter snap this Spring!
Half way round the nearby park I’m remembering that a lap only takes about 10 minutes on the bike… still walking half an hour later, not I suspect for the last time, I miss my bike!
Still not all is grey, Sunday sees me back out and enjoying the sunshine as I head the other way around the park (variety being the spice of life!). Much better – hurrah. Three miles down with ease, only another 23 to go!
Already we have sponsorship and this thought will keep us going through the wet and the windy days and make the sunny ones all the more pleasant. Thanks for your support superstars!!
